Karri Flatla launched and incorporated snap! virtual assistance inc. in 2005, a small "VA" firm providing editing services and website maintenance to small businesses. In October 2006, the company became snap! virtual associates inc. to reflect the fact that it had evolved from virtual assistance to Internet marketing consulting in a multi-VA/multi-consultant environment.

Mission: To virtually facilitate high impact online marketing activities that enable entrepreneurs to establish and meet appropriate performance targets.

Principal: Karri Flatla

Location: Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada (windiest place on the face of the Earth but generally a nice place to live otherwise)

Organizational Structure and Approach

Business format: All of snap’s virtual assistants (VAs) and marketing consultants work as independent subcontractors of the corporation. This not only reduces overhead and in turn client costs, but it promotes flexible thinking and quality deliverables.

Project management: For most projects, snap! uses BaseCamp online collaboration software.
BaseCamp is where you will correspond with our associates about the marketing activities you have contracted us to carry out. Types of information you might find at “Base:”

  • Project deadlines and associated milestones.
  • State of the union updates.
  • Requests for documentation, images or other files.
  • Files uploaded by our associates for your reference.
  • General question and answer dialog as it pertains to your project.

We encourage our clients to use BaseCamp frequently, especially to ask questions about their project and provide the input necessary to create the best possible outcomes. By using your snap! BaseCamp account to interact with us, an accurate, chronological record of all project activity and correspondence is automatically created. This benefits everyone both during the project and after it is complete.
